Istanbul, Ephesus and Antalya… You will love this trio. Coveted by empires across the centuries, straddling both Europe and Asia, Istanbul is one of the world’s great metropolises. We will visit Hagia Sophia, Byzantine, Hippodrome, Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace in İstanbul. Ephesus is an ancient Greek city and a large archaeological site, also famous for its Temple of Artemis. In Ephesus, you will walk down the well-preserved Roman streets, gaze at the mighty monuments, and soak up the ancient soul of this ruined city. In Antalya we will witness the fantastic Roman city Perge ruins, The Roman Bats, The Agor, Colonaded Street, Nympharium, Temple of Apollo, one of the wonder of nature Kurşunlu waterfalls. Perge is also one of the UNESCO World Heritage List candidate.

Day 1  Istanbul: Arrival & Transfer to Hotel

Upon your arrival in Istanbul, you will be met with our company representative in the arrivals area of the airport who will be holding a signboard with your name on it. After meet and greet, you will then be transferred from the airport to your hotel in Istanbul. After hotel check-in, the rest of the day is at leisure on your own.

Day 2 Istanbul: Full-Day Istanbul Byzantine & Ottoman History Tour
(Included Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)

Hagia Sophia: This ancient basilica, built by Constantine the Great in the 4th century and reconstructed by Justinian in the 6th century, is one of the architectural marvels of all time.

Sultanahmet Mosque: Across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, is known as the Blue Mosque because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles.

Hippodrome: Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine.

Grand Cover Bazaar: In this labyrinth of streets and passages are more then 4,000 shops with each trade having its own area: the goldsmiths' street, the carpet sellers, Turkish arts and crafts, such as handpainted ceramic plates, hand-honed copperware, brassware and trays, water ewers, onyx-ware and meerschaum pipes.

Topkapi Palace: The great palace of the Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite collection of cyrstal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury,miniatures, the Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed.

Day 3 Kusadasi: Fly to Izmir from Istanbul and Ephesus Tour and Fly to Antalya
(Included Meals: Breakfast& Lunch)

  • Early Picked up from your hotel to Airport
  • Our representative will meet you at Izmir Airport and transfer you to Selcuk
  • Visiting Sites: Temple of Artemis, Greco-Roman City of Ephesus, House of Virgin Mary, Sirince Village, Isabey Mosque
  • 13:00 Lunch
  • After the tour, transfer to Izmir Airport
  • Our representative will meet you at Antalya Airport and transfer you to your hotel for check in
  • Stay Overnight in Antalya

You will be picked up from your hotel in Istanbul around 4:30 and will be transferred to the domestic airport for your flight from Istanbul to Izmir between 6:00 – 7:30. Upon arrival at Izmir airport, you will be picked up and transferred to Selçuk. In Selçuk, you will meet your professional tour guide to begin your full-day tour of Ephesus.

You will first visit the Temple of Artemis which was once one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. Next, you will visit the world-famous ancient Greco-Roman City of Ephesus, the most well-preserved example in the world. After visiting this impressive site, you will have a break for lunch.

Ephesus Antique Site: Enter through the Magnesia Gate and begin a slow, downhill walk with your guide into the ruins of this Roman provincial capital. Your route takes you past the Odeum, the Celsus Library, the Temple of Hadrian, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater. The Theater had seating for 25,000, was the site where St. Paul preached to the Ephesians, and is used today for a local spring festival.

Temple Of Artemis: The temple of Artemision is known as one of the Seven Wonders of the Antic world. It has been built in the areas of Ephesus on a flat area which has over the centuries turned into a swamp.

House of Virgin Mary: House of Virgin Mary, one of the most sacred places for Christianity, is located near Ephesus. Some believe the Virgin Mary had spent her last days in the vicinity of Ephesus.

Isabey Mosque: Isa Bey Mosque is one of the most delicate examples of Seljukian architecture, situated below the basilica of Saint John. The mosque was built by the master Syrian architecture Ali son of Mushimish al -Damishki, between the years of 1374 and 1375.

Sirince Village: The Sirince Village; which is an old Greek village and is well-know for its quaint beauty and wine tasting and production. Here you will have one hour free to explore on your own without a guide the different foods and wines of the area and visit various small traditional village shops.

After the tour, you will be transferred to Izmir airport for your flight to Antalya through Istanbul. Upon your arrival at the Antalya airport, a representative will be present holding your name sign to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel.

Day 4 Antalya: Perge, Aspendos, Side & Waterfall Tour
(Included Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to join the full day Perge, Aspendos & Kursunlu Waterfalls Tour.

First on the tour, we will visit Perge, one of the largest ancient cities in the Pamphylia region. Start your journey into history with a visit to the ancient city of Perge, an impressive archaeological site containing a wealth of ancient ruins, mostly dating back to the Roman period.

Perge was the capital of Pamphylia. The Roman Baths, the Agora, Colonaded Street, Nympharium and the stadium are all on the visit. We depart for the Aspendos Ancient Theatre.

This incredibly well preserved ancient theatre was built in the 2nd century A.D., it has a capacity of 15,000 people and its still being used for festivals and music concerts.

We have a lunch break at a restaurant on a nearby river then we will depart for Side. Side is one of the best classical ancient cities in Turkey, it was a port city that served the largest slave market in the region. During Roman times much construction took place in Side including a large theatre, Roman Baths and the Temple of Apollo.

Guests will have 1-hour free time here to enjoy the sea and the city.  On the way back, we will stop at the Kursunlu Waterfall.

On the way back, time permitting, we will stop at the Kursunlu Waterfall then return to Antalya. You will be transferred back to your hotel.

Day 5 Antalya: Fly back to Istanbul - End of Services

After breakfast check out of the hotel in Antalya. You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Antalya airport to take your flight to Istanbul. END OF OUR SERVICE and TOURS.

  • The order of the itinerary is indicative and subject to change, but all visits described will take place.
  • This is a regular group tour, but if requested at cost can be provided as a private tour
  • The regular group tour has shopping stops included in the tour
  • The Blue Mosque is not open for visitation on Fridays as it is closed for religious prayer services. You will only be able to visit the outside of the Blue Mosque area on tours operated on Fridays. No visitation will be allowed inside the Blue Mosque for tourists on Fridays
  • St. Sophia is closed on Monday, this will be replaced with the Basilica Cistern (Yerebatan Sarnici)
  • Topkapi Palace is closed on Tuesday, it will be replaced with the Beylerbeyi Palace
  • Grand Bazaar is closed on Sunday
  • During religious holidays, the spice market and Grand Bazaar are closed
  • Please note that your return flight from Antalya to Istanbul will arrive at either the New Airport in Istanbul or at the Sabiha Gökçen Airport depending on the availability of flights on the ticket purchase date
  • If you have a preference to return to a specific airport in Istanbul i.e. Sabiha Gokcen or Istanbul New Airport, you must request your choice of the airport in Istanbul by email prior to your tour booking. Any changes requested once your booking is confirmed will incur an additional cost
  • Upon arrival at Istanbul airport, you will have to arrange your own pick-up service from Istanbul airport to your hotel in Istanbul. This transfer is not included as part of your package tour services with us. Our service ends upon your flight arrival at Istanbul Airport
